Chris Mattei Reaches Qualifying Threshold for AG Campaign
Former federal prosecutor Chris Mattei announced today that he has already met the threshold to qualify for public financing in the Attorney General’s race and has raised in excess of $75,000 for the campaign.
“I am so very grateful for the support our campaign has received from thousands of Connecticut residents, who refuse to remain silent in the face of attacks on our rights and our values. As a federal prosecutor, I defended our state’s public financing system from fraud and corruption, and I’m proud to participate in it now,” said Mattei. “As Attorney General, I will wake up every day and go to work for Connecticut families, who need an advocate to take on the powerful interests that have rigged politics and the economy in their favor.”
Mattei has raised more than $75,000 in qualifying contributions of $100 or less and will be eligible for public financing once he is formally placed on the ballot for the Democratic nomination for Attorney General. Mattei has reached this threshold without accepting any donations from registered lobbyists.
